We are looking for a talented sales professional who enjoys working in cutting-edge technology to proactively pursue and manage client relationships in the video security industry. This person will report directly to the VP Sales and Marketing.
This assignment will be focused on our rapidly expanding client base in the Video Security industry. The position can be based in either San Jose, CA, USA or Waterloo, Ontario, Canada.
Responsibilities will include prospecting, account development of prospects and inbound leads, business development with our channel partners, proposal writing, negotiation and deal closure, and account management. Nuvation engineers will support you on IP licensing and design project-oriented sales calls.
Must have a successful track record in outside sales and an embedded systems technology background. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be self-directed, organized, and customer-focused. Must be willing to travel worldwide. Experience calling on C-level execs and managing million-dollar accounts are a strong plus.
Responsibilities:
- Penetrate targeted account list, through cold calls and/or through our established partner network, at the VP Eng/CTO/CEO level
- Convey the Nuvation Value Proposition and close the conceptual sale
- Spot project opportunities and engage appropriate technical resources on sales calls
- Generate proposals with support from engineering
- Contract negotiation and closure
- Ongoing account management
- Broaden client relationships
- Manage field relationships with Nuvation channel partners
Candidates MUST have the following qualifications:

Successful track record in outside sales and account management
- Fundamental understanding of components such as FPGAs, DSPs, MCUs
- Understanding of the video security industry players and trends
- Successful track record building and maintaining client relationships
- Successful track record interacting with C-level and VP-level decision makers
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- Highly motivated and outgoing
- Must have high ethics, integrity and interpersonal skills
- Experience selling technical services or IP licensing is a strong plus
