Nuvation has been established since 1997 with engineering design centers in San Jose, California, USA and Waterloo, Ontario, Canada.

Summary

Nuvation is currently seeking a talented sales professional who enjoys working in cutting-edge technology to proactively pursue and manage client and partner relationships. Nuvation engineers will support you on technical sales calls. This person will report directly to the VP Sales and Marketing. The territory is the western half of the Bay -- including Sonoma, San Francisco, San Mateo, and Santa Cruz counties and the western portion of Santa Clara county. Some of the accounts will have significant R&D activity in other regions as well. The position is based in our San Jose headquarters and requires occasional overnight travel.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Penetrate targeted account list, through prospecting and/or established partner network, at the VP Eng/CTO/CEO level
  • Convey the Nuvation Value Proposition and close the conceptual sale
  • Spot project opportunities and engage appropriate technical resources on sales calls
  • Generate proposals with support from engineering
  • Contract negotiation and closure
  • Ongoing account management
  • Broaden client relationships
  • Manage field relationships with Nuvation channel partners

Requirements

  • Successful track record in outside sales and account management
  • Successful track record building and maintaining client relationships
  • Successful track record interacting with C-level and VP-level decision makers
  • Fundamental understanding of components such as FPGA's, DSP's, MCU's
  • Knowledge in vertical markets such as communications, defense, consumer electronics
  • Experience selling technical services is a plus
  • Highly motivated and outgoing
  • High ethics, integrity and interpersonal skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and be self-directed, organized and customer-focused
  • Strong negotiation skills
