New video-on-demand project plays to Nuvation's strengths
San Jose, Calif., February 12, 1999 — Nuvation Labs Corporation has just begun developing hardware in the hot field of video on demand.
Nuvation’s latest project involves designing a high-speed MPEG-layer video processing unit. This sophisticated unit incorporates hot-swappable compact PCI design, and includes three different boards. The nature of this project gives Nuvation the opportunity to demonstrate its skills in project management as well as board-level design, and further explore compact PCI technology.
"[This project] is very exciting, and it will expand our presence in the hot-swappable compact PCI arena," remarks Darren Zacher, Hardware Engineering Manager. "It plays to some of our key strengths - project management, new technology, and our past experience in project design and management. It’s a good mix."
