Nuvation Expands Partnership with Altera Certified DSP Experts
San Jose, Calif, October 1, 2002 — Nuvation, a leading Silicon Valley electronics design services (EDS) firm, today announced that it has been certified as an Altera DSP Partner. Members of the digital signal processing (DSP) chapter of ACAP are industry-leading design service providers that use the combination of their FPGA and DSP expertise to create system-on-a-programmable-chip (SOPC) solutions for Altera's customers.
All partners are trained and certified by Altera and have an outstanding relationship with Altera's sales force. By utilizing these partners' DSP services, customers will have access to engineers with a combination of Altera and traditional DSP expertise making the option to switch to an FPGA-based DSP solution more realistic. Collaboration between Altera and partner increases the quality of services and support for the customer. By using Altera devices, tools, and intellectual property (IP), Altera's partners help designers shorten their design cycles, decrease development costs and risk, and reduce time-to-market for the customer.
Nuvation has many years of expertise in Digital Signal Processing in applications such as wireless FIR and FFT filters, Optical networking spectrum analysis and polarization control, medical imaging, industrial control, and various image processing and security/defense-related projects.
With expertise in Altera's DSP Blocks such as in the Stratix® FPGA family, Nuvation will assist design and integration with Altera OEMs worldwide. Nuvation's specialized skills gives Altera's customers access to unparalleled breadth and depth of engineering expertise, enabling them to rapidly develop programmable devices from concept, through design and sythesis, and into testing and integration.
