Message from Nuvation's CEO

One Year Anniverary for our Waterloo Design Center!

Greetings, and best wishes, to you and your family during this holiday season. Nuvation has had an amazing year! We're celebrating the first anniversary of our Waterloo Design Center (WDC) in Ontario, Canada. 2005 has been our best year in company history and we know this was only possible thanks to our amazing clients, staff, and partners!

We've enjoyed working with all of you on some amazing new technologies. Algorithm acceleration and co-processing utilizing the latest FPGAs, MCUs, and DSPs, 802.11, ZigBee, broadcast video, H.264, HDTV, ultra low-noise analog (7 femtoseconds jitter at 104MHz!), advanced test and measurement systems, single-board computers, multi-chip modules, exciting new audio systems, revolutionary fitness equipment, a number of design consulting engagements, and a few projects we can't mention publicly. We've also expanded our line of licensable FPGA IP cores. Serial ATA, Frame-Mapped GFP, Transparent-Mode GFP and new variants of our ATA-4 and ATA-5 host controllers have been introduced this year alone. Our customer base has expanded globally and it appears one of our IP cores will be heading into space next year :-)

Along the way we've shared a lot of fun times together as an organization. There was our fifth annual HikeForACure, Tequila Club, ping-pong tournaments, Cinco de Mayo barbeque, a shark fishing trip, a paint ball outing, movie nights, and some great parties including a few attended by our very own moose. Our battlebots team now has four competition bots and we've taken them to events as far as Oregon and New York City. Nuvation has always been a spirited company and I'm proud to have teams that enjoy working hard and playing hard together.

Our 2006 plans are just as ambitious, and we look forward to another great year together! If we can assist your product development in any way, please let us know!

Happy Holidays!
