AMC: The Platform of Choice
 Due to its open architecture and high degree of flexibility, AdvancedMC (AMC) modules are quickly emerging as a key component in many carrier-grade telecommunications platforms. Fueling the growing popularity of AMC is its interoperability, allowing manufacturers to move away from costly proprietary systems and focus on niche strengths. 
SATA Core in Virtex-5
The SATA Host Controller IP Core will be available soon for Xilinx Devices near you. Featuring, an AHCI firmware interface, the first release version is targeted for Virtex-5 LXT/SXT with on-chip PHY. The core will have a PLB interface to other logic and/or embedded MCU.

DaVinci™ IP Camera Reference Design Product Update
Nuvation's ultra-compact, TI DaVinci™-based, IP Camera reference design will now include Power over Ethernet (PoE)! The purple camera is a production-ready design based on TI’s DaVinci technology-based TMS320DM6446 digital media processor and TI’s digital media software. It enables rapid time-to-market acceleration for the emerging wave of intelligent-edge video surveillance systems, video conferencing, automotive telematics, and machine vision applications.

ARM Developer's Conference and Portable Design Conference 2007
October 3-4, 2007: Nuvation was exhibiting at the first year of the Portable Design Conference which was held in parallel with the ARM Developer's Conference in Santa Clara, California. For those attending the ARM conference or looking for solutions in portable computing, be sure to include the Portable Design Conference in your itinerary.

Welcome to the Fall edition of Nuvation’s CURRENT! We are approaching the end of our 10th-anniversary year and setting new records again this year. As I mentioned in the last newsletter, Nuvation has been engaged in over 500 design projects since our inception and adds nearly 75 this year to date.
