Moose Spotting
Moose
SAN JOSE, CA - Moose found in San Jose, separated from herd in Canada — 'Data Moose' currently resides in Nuvation's Engineering Country, well adapted to the weather and constant exposure to advanced technologies.

The moose was donated to Silicon Valley by the city of Toronto, which has over 300 individually themed moose sculptures placed across the city!

Brains of a Robot
A hardcore personality of soft-core processors

"Introducing CycloneBot! This titanium/carbon-fiber armored combat robot weighs in at 220lbs and spins at up to 100MPH while attacking with titanium blades!" reads the announcer as the crowd roars. Designed by Nuvation and CM Robotics, CycloneBot's weapon is a high-speed translational attack while the entire robot is in rotation. A look under the hood explains how CycloneBot's advanced electronics enable this revolutionary (no pun intended) attack. MORE

The SI FAQ

Nuvation SI Nuvation-SI's department manager, Ben Schramm, offers his insights on SI analysis techniques. Digital signals are becoming so fast (PRR of ≥100MHz and rise times <1ns) that they have to be treated as microwave signals, and board interconnects have to be treated as transmission lines. If your team is venturing into high-speed/high-density designs, read about the current SI trends, processes, and tools from an expert with several decades of SI experience. CONTINUE

Ethernet-over-SONET solutions
Achieve up to 10-Gbps Data Rate

There is an increasing demand for Ethernet traffic over metropolitan area networks (MANs). Since their infrastructures are not geared towards packet-switched traffic (e.g., Ethernet), carriers are now struggling to provide this service capability. The most cost-effective solution for providing Ethernet services is to transport it over existing infrastructure to make use of the capital already invested-transport Ethernet traffic (packet-switched) over SONET (circuit-switched) equipment. Nuvation Hikes Against Rare Disease

Anton In support of finding a cure for the rare disease of Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis (LCH), many Nuvation team members joined forces today with 60 hikers to climb Half Dome in Yosemite National Park, California. The participants of the hike raised over $24,000 for research funding for the Histiocytosis Association of America.

At 5:45 AM on Sunday September 21, 2003 almost 100 brave souls strode out into a cool Yosemite morning, taking the first steps of a hike that would lead them 15.5 miles and 4,800 vertical feet in their ascent to the top of Half Dome. CONTINUE
