Professionalism, expertise, and commitment: the Nuvation way.
Once Nuvation starts a project, we apply a structured process to its planning
and execution to ensure optimal results. To maximize project success, a
four-stage project execution plan is employed. The execution is split into an
Initial Design Engagement (IDE), two stages of development, and Sustaining
Engineering stage.
Each project step is defined in the Nuvation project methodology diagram.

Stage 1: The Initial Design Engagement
The IDE often commences with a kickoff meeting where all of the involved parties get together to discuss business objectives, project objectives, communication protocols, and next steps. Throughout the early stages of the IDE, Nuvation will glean technical information, analyze marketing requirements, and begin distilling design specifications. Functional requirements will be derived from information gathered through meetings, dialogue, and any relevant documentation that may already exist, including marketing requirement documents. The output of the IDE is a comprehensive and detailed Design Report, which often includes Specifications, Acceptance Test Procedures, Engineer’s Estimate, Project Work Plan, and other technical documentation to guide and accelerate the development and integration to follow.
Stages 2 and 3: Design and Development
Once the detailed design has been fleshed out, development can proceed at a rapid pace. Nuvation utilizes its unique engineering methodology at this stage, combining the classic Waterfall method with the progressive modern form of the Spiral method. In the Nuvation Model, a critical path is first identified and developed; to which components can be added as the project progresses. Risk management and progress monitoring are optimized, enabling the client to see progress earlier and identify any problems at the earliest point.
Stage 4: Sustaining Engineering
Nuvation's thorough documentation process, collaborative integration stage, and final Acceptance Test Procedure are designed for efficient knowledge transfer and provide a smooth transition to our clients' internal support team. As an established professional services firm, we maintain engineering availability for technical questions or other support requirements which may arise downstream. Nuvation's sustaining engineering stage optimizes client operational efficiencies while fostering long-term relationships with our clients.
