Nuvation Engineering completed the design, certification, testing, and manufacturing of a remote health care monitoring device for a client in the medical industry. The device communicates with a central database via wireless network or telephone line, and is IEC 60601-1, FCC part 68, TBR21, CS-03, and FCC Part 15 Class B compliant.

Home Health Care Monitor

Design Features:

  • Collects health information via USB and Bluetooth from multiple PHM devices simultaneously (e.g. blood-glucose monitors, blood pressure monitors, pulse oximeters, etc.)
  • Uploads Personal Heath Monitoring (PHM) device data to the cloud via Internet, cellular networks, and home phone
  • Designed to meet North American and European EMC and Electrical Safety standards
  • Uses components with costs and anticipated life cycles that would satisfy the device’s target manufacturing cost and planned service life
