Nuvation created a laser scanning, DSP-based facial recognition access control system (ACS) for a client in the video security industry. An IR laser is used for facial scanning and IR image sensors record facial data. The dual-DSP system features Texas Instruments DaVinci DM6446 processors with C6416 for high-performance 3D imaging.
