ORLANDO, FL –   Nuvation Engineering introduced a robot that plays air hockey, at the annual Freescale Technology Forum, and won the ‘People’s Choice Award’ for best innovation. Utilizing advanced algorithms developed by Nuvation for puck motion estimation, game strategy, and visual field distortion correction, Air-HockeyBot 1000 challenged 8 out of every 10 players from scoring in their first 3 minutes! The intelligence is implemented on custom hardware developed by Nuvation Engineering featuring Freescale Coldfire and 9S08 microprocessors.
