Nuvation Engineering designed a mixed-signal power control board for renewal power systems, including hydro plants, photo-voltaic power systems, and wind farms. The board has RS-232, RS-485, 10/100 Ethernet, and FlexCAN interfaces implemented with a Freescale ColdFire MCF5282 microcontroller. A Texas Instruments C6713 floating point DSP is used for system control and power calculations.
